Tofco is a family business based in the North East of England, just a few miles from Newcastle upon Tyne and its International airport. Founded in 1973 by the present Managing Director Mr. Ray Toft, the company has grown into the country's leading manufacturer of street lighting cut-outs and enclosures.

The company is also recognised as one of the leading suppliers of street lighting and traffic furniture, a position which has been further strengthened by our association with MacLean Electrical, our stockists in Scotland.

As well as manufacturing and supplying its own range of products, Tofco is a dominant and exclusive distributor of streetlighting and traffic sign materials.

Since its foundation, the company has provided a service which is second to none and remains committed to a continuous and well funded research and development program.

The company's commitment to excellence was acknowledged by its achieving the accreditation of quality standard BS5750 and subsequently BS EN ISO9002. The company was also awarded the Charter for the Environment Certificate by Newcastle City Council after successfully completing an Environmental Audit.
