Rising energy prices could impact output
Manufacturers are expecting to see an increase in demand for goods over the next quarter, despite continuing poor orders in July, a report has shown.
The CBI said its monthly manufacturing order books balance only marginally improved in July, rising to -11% from -12% in June.

Yet looking at the next three months, +13% of manufacturers expect orders to pick up, led by strong exports.

Firms predict exports will jump at their fastest rate since 1995.
