blocks are made from fired clay and have a honeycomb cross-section. An external loadbearing wall can be very rapidly built with a single skin construction that will replace a conventional cavity wall construction - combining the structure, external envelope, moisture protection and insulation in one. All that is needed is for the internal surface to be plastered and the external surface to be given a rendered finish.
