The company's aggregate operations are comprehensively and strategically positioned across the UK, comprising crushed rock quarries, sand and gravel quarries and secondary aggregate operations. Through the extensive use of the road and rail network, our quarries are able to supply value added activities across the business.

Aggregates supplied include concrete aggregates, high PSV materials, rail ballast, drainage materials, sub bases, sea defence materials and surface dressing chippings.

Significant quantities of our aggregates are used in the production of asphalt. Our asphalt plants are well situated to supply the main areas of population. Demand is also growing for specialist materials that are designed to meet performance requirements or for specific end uses such as sports surfaces, cold-mix materials, coloured asphalt and low-noise road surfaces.
